Indian Social and Research Foundation, Akola, is a registered society under the government act and is exclusively formed to identify and promote potential educational activities, leading our nation towards more literate, cultured, science and technology oriented society. The members and office bearers are well qualified originating from different walks of life. They bear extremely good, professional academic qualifications and experience of running and managing other educational societies.

Indian Social and Research Foundation, Akola, is permitted by the Government of Maharashtra for establishment of degree institute in law, in the name and style of “Shrirambhau Shelke Law College, Khamgaon” from session 2001-2002, which is affiliated to Amravati University and is approved by The Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

Khamgaon and its surrounding is fast developing into an industrial complex and with its complexity of labour and taxation problem, the general legal problems are bound to increase, which requires expert handling. In order to provide personnel to tackle these problems in an efficient manner, the foundation has started this law college.
